Celebrity Doctor Who Fans

Doctor who has developed a large fan base over the years. These fans have become known as whovians, mostly by the press. However the question is, which celebrities are fans of the series?

These celebrity fans include Queen Elizabeth, comedians Jon Culshaw, David Walliams, Mitch Benn, Peter Kay, Mark Gatiss, Stewart Lee, Matt Lucas, Rufus Hound Toby Hadoke, Wil Anderson; actors David Hewlett, Stephen Fry, David Duchovny, Eric McCormack, Simon Pegg, Anthony Stewart Head, Tom Hanks, singer/songwriter Marc Almond and Elizabeth Hurley; Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, science fiction writer Robert J. Film producers George Lucas and Steven Speilberg are reportedly fans of the series. Although while Steven Moffat claims Steven Spielberg merely "knows and admires the show" , Lucas states Spielberg is a fan of the original series and believes there's a lot of things missing to the new series that made the old one so great.
