When Smith takes over as the Doctor, the TARDIS is planned to get a makeover to mark the event. The bosses of the show apparently plan to 'step back in time' for the TARDIS's new design, giving it blue walls and white windows. A similar look to the 1960's time traveling machine.

New Series, new Doctor... there has to be a new TARDIS, right?!... Well I hope so!
